Invest in Hanover Scholarships
Through the HEF, you can enhance the quality of education in Hanover County by supporting student success. Funds raised through private donations and business partnerships are given back through many programs. One of those is student scholarships. Scholarships help our students to pursue training and educational opportunities beyond high school. Donors enable funding through endowed and annual gifts. You can apply for multiple scholarships, but each requires a separate application form. You can find the application form at the link below. Application deadlines vary and are listed in the descriptions.

“The Meg Cross Menzies Memorial Scholarship honors and remembers the legacy of Meg Cross Menzies, her strong faith in Jesus Christ, her love of running, her gift of encouragement and her acts of leadership. Meg was hit and killed by a drunk driver on January 13th, 2014. She was out running, while training for her second Boston Marathon. Because of the life she led and the example she set, more than 100,000 runners from all over the world ran for Meg the following Saturday; and many continue to run for her today.”

Two $1,500 scholarships awarded to graduating seniors from Patrick Henry High School majoring in Education. This scholarship was set up by the PHHS Class of 1942 and is given in memory of Miss Sydnor who taught English and Math at Henry Clay High School for 26 years. This scholarship is given in memory of Kevin Ritz, a 1988 graduate of Lee- Davis High School and University of Virginia.
